Is my domain registered with WordPress or not?

Last year, I tried to transfer my domain’s hosting to GoDaddy to move to wordpress.org. It seemed like the transfer was done, but it was still directing to my WordPress.com site, which I couldn’t quite figure out, so I just left it at the time. I have since decided that I am happy with WordPress.com, and would like to stick with just your site, without having to also run a separate GoDaddy account.

So, please check if my domain is actually with WordPress.com or not now, and if it is not, if I can transfer it back?

    Thank you!

Hello there! Thanks for getting in touch. Your custom domain, filmstoned.com/, is mapped to your WordPress.com site (filmstoned.wordpress.com), but your domain is not registered here.

To view your domain information, please see Store → My Domains in your site’s Dashboard.

While we register new domains here at WordPress.com, we’re not able to accept incoming transfers of existing domain names. Therefore, we recommend that you keep the name registered at your current registrar. You can use the domain for your site here at WordPress.com by mapping the domain, as explained here:

If you have any other questions, please let us know. Cheers!
