Is my domain registered with you or with Yola?
-
I have a domain which is mapped to my wordpress blog. I originally bought it through Yola.com.
I believe that I have renewed my domain with wordpress but am receiving renewal reminders from Nominet as .uk domain names are powered by Nominet.
Can you please confirm (or not) that my domain is with you and I don’t need to do anything else or pay Yola.com any money.
Thank you.The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
It looks like your domain is mapped to your WordPress.com blog (missgregorysgorgeousgifts.wordpress.com). The domain mapping upgrade is currently good through 1/2/15 as shown through your Upgrades page here:
https://missgregorysgorgeousgifts.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=my-upgrades
However, it doesn’t look like your domain is registered through WordPress.com. To be clear, mapping and registration are two different things. You will need to maintain the registration at your domain registrar and the mapping upgrade at WordPress.com in order for the domain to work correctly. Currently, it looks like the domain is registered through TUCOWS Inc as shown on the public information here:

Do you remember registering the domain there?

Thanks for getting back to me.
I registered through Yola and TUCOWS looks familiar so perhaps I did. Is there any way of registering through wordpress so everything is in one place so to speak?

Currently, it isn’t possible to transfer your domain registration to WordPress.com as we do not accept incoming transfers. The only way to do that would be to cancel your domain registration and then re-register it with WordPress.com. However, I would not recommend that as someone may register the domain before you, in which case you would not be able to register it again. The best bet going forward is to maintain your registration elsewhere and set up an automatic billing at the registrar so you don’t have to worry about renewing each year.
Let me know if you have any additional questions!
