Is my email link protected if my page is password protected?
-
I have a page on my blog that has a list of email addresses. That page is password protected though. Is that sufficient enough to keep my email address out of the hands of spammers? I ask this because I want to use “email me” links for each of the addresses but don’t want to expose them to the spammers and their scripts. Thanks in advance.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

If you are the only person with the password then the list of email addresses then it is as safe as it can be. If not then the “safety” factor decreases as you increase the number of people who are given the password, and who can, in turn, give it to others.

If you create email me link the spammers will be able to harvest the emails if you ever chose to un-password protect the page it would be in your best interest to create a non clickable image of your email address or use the contact for short code so people can contact you through the email that is associated with your WP.com account.

You’re welcome. Here’s another post that contains helpful information about how to post an email address in a form spam bots will not harvest.
