Is my SEO sufficient?

I am new to WordPress and have (I think) followed all the setup advice to generate traffic to my site. Should I install a plug-in as well? In fact can I install a plug-in with my type of bog?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello there,
There is no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.COM blogs and we cannot install individual plugins or third party themes into them. Those found on the internet are for WordPress.ORG installs which run on different software.

Thank you, I have read these. I’d already set myself up as .com before understanding the difference, and I now wonder if that was the smartest decision.
What I’m really asking is whether a blog would be more ‘findable’ by search engines if it were .org with plugin, or does following the advice for generating traffic on a .com site do the same job?
I am VERY new to this so just want to be sure I’m making the most of the blog.

No it would not be. One of the most prevalent myths we have to dispel is that good SEO is produced by plugins. It isn’t. The SEO on WordPress.com blog is excellent and when compared to tghe same content in a WordPress.org install using the SEO plugins (I tried the top 3) the WordPress.com blog rocked!
