  I was under the impression it was, but i says ‘with an annual plan’ on the side

  Hi there,

  I can confirm you have no upgrades on your account. You can also see this here: https://wordpress.com/me/purchases/

  The message “Free domain with an annual plan” banner on your site is a marketing message. To have a custom domain with your site (instead of the “wordpress.com” URL it has now) is a paid upgrade.

  However, if you choose the annual (instead of monthly) payment option on any of our upgrades, the custom domain is included for free for the first year.

  You can ignore the message if you do not need a custom URL, and are welcome to keep your site free as long as you wish. :)
