  I finished building my site and though I had published it. However the domain name still shows wordpress and includes adverts I have not placed there: https://shortbarkgrooming.wordpress.com/
  Can you tell me how I can make it shortbarkgrooming.com and get rid of the adverts?

  Hi –

  I can’t find where shortbarkgrooming.com has been registered as a new domain. Do you own that through another registrar already? It doesn’t seem to exist.

  Yes, your free site on WordPress.com is alive and well. Working as expected.
  shortbarkgrooming.wordpress.com will display ads as it is a free site. Once you get shortbarkgrooming.com connected you can remove them.

  So, let’s try this.

  1. Go to https://wordpress.com/pricing/ and add the personal plan option to your account. You will need that plan in order to use a custom domain like shortbarkgrooming.com.

  2. Click on My Sites – Manage – Domains – Add
  Type shortbarkgrooming.com in to the search bar and follow the prompts to register it.

  Let me know once that is done and I will confirm that things are set up properly.

  Thanks lizkarkoski. I’m not looking to buy a new domain as I already have one. My domain http://www.shortbarkgrooming.co.uk was already purchased from GoDaddy. I understand from talking to GoDaddy that I need WordPress to migrate my site (without the adverts) to this domain http://www.shortbarkgrooming.co.uk.

  Is that something you can help me with?
