Is my subscription cancelled without credit card information

I received an email from wordpress.com saying that my 1 updgrade for my site is due for renewal, so if I don’t upgrade my credit card details, my subscription may be cancelled. I am using the free service (I think) so I don’t know what the upgrade would be that I am trying to be charged for. I don’t want to update my credit card information if I will get charged for an upgrade I didn’t select. So two questions: how do I find out what this charge is supposed to be and what upgrade they are referring to? I migrated my page from a wordpress.com to a self-hosted wordpress.org site, and I am using the Jetpack plugin to keep my early subscribers and send them weekly email updates: is it necessary for me to keep my wordpress.com subscription going if I don’t want to lose some of my subscribers?

Do you have another username account?
Automattic Inc. https://automattic.com/ owns WordPress.com and other products like Akismet and VaultPress, etc. so this could be a charge related to one of them. It’s important to know that each charge is sent to the registered email address for each username account, so if you have more than one username account that could be confusing you. If you have a wordpress.org account and a wordpress.com account that could be confusing you.
Are you referring to a specific website? If so then what is the exact URL starting with http:// of the site you refer to please?

WordPress.com provides a 30-day refund on all upgrades except Domain Registrations, Domain Renewals, and Guided Transfers. The refund period for Domain Registrations and Renewals is 48 hours.
Note: It takes 1 – 2 weeks for the refund to be received.
You have to be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard, cancel any upgrades, claim a refund for any qualified upgrades, and disable auto-renew. Hi there,
Until 3 days ago you had a domain upgrade in your site for the domain, anchoredinthelord.org. $26 is the cost of renewing that domain, which as due to expired on 25 September.
However, I see that on 4 September you transferred the domain away from us. That renewal email was most likely sent before the transfer completed, but I can confirm that there aren’t currently any other upgrades on your account so I see no reason why we’ll charge you for a renewal.
