Is password at risk?

I got an e-mail saying that someone tried to reset my wordpress password. Is it at risk?
Assuming I’m safe for now (I ignored the e-mail) – what if in the future my password got changed – would there a way to recover access to my account?
(note, this has not occurred. For now my password seems ok)

What probably happened was someone fat fingered in the spelling of your account name or email when they were trying to reset the password on their account.
As long as you don’t click on the link you are fine, and even if you did the reset password should go to your email account. However if someone did have access to your email account you could have problems.
Many of the “hacked” sites here are from email accounts that someone got access to. So guard you email password and access also
