Is Photography Theme full of bugs?

  Where do I start???

  1. My custom logo won’t display in the header. Is this because it is not an option, even though it is listed in Theme Options?

  2. Uploaded media files show up on multiple pages when I didn’t choose them to be there. How do I make this stop? It’s as if I have no control over what goes where.

  2. I cannot figure out the correct method of optimizing & sizing my images for the gallery slideshow. Both my vertical pics and horizontal pics are cropped to fill the screen when I don’t want them to be cropped. I’ve constrained the vertical images to 546 pixels high, and the horizontal to 960 wide, but Photography theme still fills the slideshow screen. Is there a way to size them correctly so they show in the slideshow window how I want them to? Does only one size of photo work?

  Howdy,

  Thanks for reaching out. We have a forum specifically for our Premium Themes, as developer who made the Photography theme aren’t on staff here at WordPress.com.

  Could you kindly post your questions over at http://premium-themes.forums.wordpress.com/forum/photography ?

  Some thoughts in the meantime:

  1. It appears in Appearance->Theme Options->Custom logo header, you don’t have specified the image to use. You can click on Upload Logo, then either upload it or, if you have already uploaded it, click on “Media Library” at the top of the window that appears.

     From there, you can choose the image by clicking “Show” next to it, then “Insert into post”. Save the settings and it should appear in your header.

  2. Can you provide an example of the media files being placed where you didn’t expect?
  3. I am going to defer on the theme developer on this one since the slideshow is unique to theme and I don’t want to provide incomplete information about it.
