Is Plugins directory displaying a security issue
-
Ive just added some code into header.php file and activated an existing plugin for a client and noticed that http://their-site-name/wp-content/plugins is showing a list of all their plugins
No idea if their plugin I activated is somehow causing this or not but is this a security vulnerability and if so any suggestions on how to fix it ?
I did notice their version of WordPress is out of date at 4.4.4 so perhaps this was a know security issue in older versions of WordPress ?
thx in advance

I’m sorry to hear that you are having trouble. However, you are talking about a self-hosted WordPress.org blog, which we really can’t help with.
To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities: http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
WordPress.org has complete documentation and support sites for self-hosted/installed versions of WordPress.org at http://codex.wordpress.org/ and http://wordpress.org/support/ Your webhost’s support team is another good resource.
