Is Press This the same as Reblog?

  Does “Press This” work exactly the same as Reblog? Specifically, does it ensure that my name and a link back to my site is automatically included in any “pressing” of my content elsewhere? And that the preview of my text & images on someone else’s site cannot be altered?

  That’s the way reblogging works, and I am happy to be reblogged. But the ‘Press This’ support documentation suggests that other people can just grab text and images from my site. Not liking the sounds of that so much…

  Hi there,

  Press This really only provides a link to the source material. You may want to try testing it to see how it works, but the short version is that it grabs the title of a page and puts that as the post’s title and then inserts a link to the site into the blog entry. You can then blog about your find. It doesn’t insert the entire contents of the site into the entry.

  Thanks! I think that answers my question. :) I’ll try to press something from someone else’s site and see what it looks like.
