Is Publicize (FB) working properly?

I’ve just tried to set up the Publicize option to my new FB page but when I try to select “Set Options” I just get a miniature dialogue box with no content and a little cross in the top right corner to close the box.
I can’t set my options.
Can anyone help?

No, it’s not working properly, by all reports.
What browser and version are you using? Others have reported the same as you.

Disconnection is happening on a daily basis now. Just with Facebook. It’s driving me nuts.

Oh, and the information in that link is incorrect. ‘Publicize’ is actually under Settings->Sharing on your dashboard.

Thanks all. Macmanx I just followed that procedure but exactly the same thing happened. When I get to step 5 that’s when I get the little blank dialogue box with nothing in it. I don’t get taken to FB. I go nowhere. When I click Set Options I get the same miniature blank dialogue box.
Hi raincoaster. I’m using Firefox … umm, whatever the latest version is. I just updated it the other day.
I might try it again tomorrow using IE. Right now I’m too annoyed to persist.

mercifullyshortreviews, it’s in two locations. Settings -> Sharing and Dashboard -> My Blogs. Did the reconnect work for you?
tortoisemum, can you please try clearing your browser’s cookies and cache, then try reconnecting again?

Ok. Have tried this now using a totally new browser, newly installed, never used before (IE) and have then cleared cache and cookies just in case. I’m still getting exactly the same result.
WordPress tells me I’m connected to FB, and FB tells me I’m connected to WP, but I can’t “Set Options” cos I’m still getting that little blank dialogue box.

Hm, this really sounds like something that happens when you skip step 3, deleting the app on Facebook’s end.
Did you definitely delete it?

I have the same problem of tortoisemum. I’ve tried with IE9 and Firefox 5. I’ve deleted temporary files and cookies, tried on different computers and followed the steps of that article one by one. Nothing.
I’ve always the same little blank dialogue box when I click on ‘Set Option’. -
Hi Macmanx, nope, definitely followed every single step, including deleting the app on the FB end.
Seems like from some of the comments I’m not the only one having trouble so perhaps it’s not a user error?

In my country China, we can not login on the FB by the normal internet surfing way, need an VPN.

Problem solved. It didnt’ work because I had just a Facebook “Page” and not a Profile Page too. After that I’ve created a Profile, now the dialogue box shows me the two options where publishing my posts.

Hi there! We’ve come across a few issues with clicking on “Set Options” for the Facebook Page Publicize feature. For the most part, issues with Firefox have been resolved.
Can you let me know if you’re still encountering this issue? If so, please know that we are looking into the problem and hope to have it resolved very soon.

Hi all, seems to me there’s a conflict between WP and Facebook as I have to had encountered the same thing of having to reconnect by the share feature as well.
My system Windows vista home premium, updated Firefox to v6.

I’m sorry you are experiencing this annoyance. In fact there are often disconnects that seem to be happening at the Facebook end of things. Please try the reconnecting process again.

Oh, I think invisibleice has found the answer to my problem. I also had just a FB page and not a profile. It all makes sense now.
