Is Slide.com really this terrible?

I’d like to add a professional-looking slide show to my blog, which I’m setting up for a graduate-level journalism course, but it seems Slide.com mandates that I use bubbles and hearts and/or glitter features. The player forces me to incorporate music as well. If possible, I want to avoid forcing my blog users to listen to “Money Honey” while watching a slide show about the economic crisis.

My other slide show options are also no good, it seems. RockYou is very heart-friendly too. And as regards Slideshare, that requires that I put together a whole Powerpoint presentation.

What gives here? Are my slide show options really this limited? Is Slide.com really this terrible?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

I’m not an expert at all but i think you can cancel all those hearts-falling options and so on on slide.com. you have a big choice actually when you do your slideshow.. on the right side you can choose all kind of colours etc.
    good luck

Use BubbleShare. Here’s an example from my blog:

Interesting. Thanks. I’ll check it out. I wonder why BubbleShare is not mentioned as a slide show option along with the other websites. At any rate… thank you.
