Is the .com version highly restrictive or am I missing something?
-
Hi everyone. I need some help. I want to make what I think of as an extremely simple site. I don’t really know a huge amount about coding, though I’ve done a bit, but I don’t even see the code for most of what I’d like to change.
All I want is for the landing page to be a single image in the centre, with some links to all-text pages (of my WordPress site) on the left. One of the pages will ideally include my musical compositions in some way but I’m not that far along yet, and one will probably need to have a photograph of myself, but that’s the extent of it.
At the bottom there’s the tiny advert about WordPress being free and all that, which I don’t mind having, although I’d prefer to arrange it differently (like maybe on the right side of the page), but what I really don’t get is the bit next to it where it says there’s an image by Miko Yoshihito, and I can’t remove those words, though the only images I have or wish to use are my own ones.
I’ve read that the .org version is more customisable but am I to understand that I can’t upload something made with WordPress.org to WordPress.com?
Thanks for your help.
