Is the feedback form secure?

  If I use a feedback form on my webpage but don’t specify an email address, the feedback is simply transmitted to WordPress and can be read in my admin panel, right?

  Is this transmission, from the user form to WordPress, https secure/encrypted, or is it cleartext?

  And once the feedback is stored on WP servers, can the NSA easily read it out (as they do with Yahoo and Google emails), or is this data somehow protected? Or are you not allowed to talk about it? :)

  @baskervillefan if you don’t specify an email address, it emails to the address on file. It is not to be used for secure transactions, as noted here:
