Is the file block available, or not?

  I found help resources on how to embed a file, which direct me to use the “file block.” I can find no file block available to me.

  I tried uploading it as an image, which won’t work.

  I tried going to my media library, and uploading it as a document; but then I don’t have an option to include or embed it.

  I found that page and followed its instructions. They do not work.

  There is no file block available in the dropdown.

  Typing /file does not create a file block, it creates a line that says “/file”.

  /file

  As you can see, it doesn’t work here, either.

  Would you please try to embed a file in a new reply to me here, so I can see whether the problem is on my end, or on WordPress’s end? Thank you.

  There is no File Block available in this forum, but I just tested it on a wordpress.com site and it works fine for me.

  Did you clear your browser cache? Are you using an extension in your browser that interferes? Are you using the most recent version of your browser?
