Is the link button broken?
-
The creating a link button seems to be broken. When trying to edit a page that has been on my website for ages am an unable to create any new links. The old ones still work. I follow the instructions: highlight text, click on ‘link’ button, select the permalinked page, click the create link button, and nothing happens. It used to work for me. Links I have previously made still work but cannot add any more. Please help this is my business website.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Our interactive tools like the Link creator or the “Add Media” button are built in a coding language called Javascript that browsers read. Sometimes when these tools fail, it’s as simple as the browser’s Javascript functions are out of date.
As a next step, could you make sure you’re running the most up-to-date version of your browser, restart the browser, then retry the link creator?
We have links to the most up-to-date versions here:
We recommend Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox for editing on WordPress.com

Thanks. I will have my local IT guy have a look and see if we can sort it.
BTW Thanks for your quick replies to my question. -
Sure thing! Just let me know here if that browser update doesn’t fix it up and we’ll move on to next steps. :)
