Is the WordPress reader a Google Reader?

    Is the Reader I use in WordPress a Google Reader? I have been reading of other bloggers moving to bloglovin because google reader is shutting down. Is that the reader we use on WordPress? If it shuts down, will you provide another reader through WordPress? What about those that follow my blog on Reader?

    Hi there, the Reader in WordPress.com is a different RSS-feed reader than Google’s but it can be used to read all sorts of blog RSS feeds, not just WordPress ones.

    Google Reader is indeed shutting down soon, but ours is not. The folks who are still using Google Reader need to find an alternate RSS reader. We have a post on the WordPress.com blog that explains how folks can switch from the Google Reader to the WordPress.com Reader:
