Is the WP.ccom Image widget available for WP.org?

    I’m wondering if WordPress.com “Image” widget is available for those using WordPress.org?

    Widgets are Theme specific for WordPress.ORG installs, depends on what the Theme designer wanted to do with the built in functions. You might try looking for a Plug-in that has that functionality. If you are a very good programmer maybe you could port over the Widget, but you would need to copy the code from a WordPress.COM Theme and do the modifications yourself.

    One of the good news things for WordPress.COM is that the Themes here have the added functions of the Widgets in the Themes, this is done in part because Plug-in’s are not allowed here. The bad news is that some with WordPress.ORG installs have Widget envy. And some people at WordPress.COM have Plug-in envy.
