is the "your stats are booming" notification sent to all users?

is the “your stats are booming” notification sent to all users, or just the site owner? if it appears to all users, will it disappear to them once those users have been removed from the site?

Hi @leterel, it goes to anyone who can access stats for your site, including Admins, Editors, Authors, and Contributors.

thanks. what about users i have removed from the site after that notification got sent? will they still see it? will it get cleared over time?

i tried to create a dummy site and a dummy invited user (i’ll call it X), and i left a comment on a post created by X, which sent X a comment notification. then i removed X from the dummy site, and the comment notification was still in X’s notification list, even though it was pointing to the site X couldn’t access anymore.
therefore i’m assuming that those users i removed will still see the stats notification even after i removed them from the site, is that right? do ‘stale’ notifications like these get cleared over time, or will they remain?

please note that i’m talking about whether the removed user will see the _notification_, not the actual stats page (thats of course inaccessible since i removed them).

sorry, i’ll try to explain it better. basically i received the stats booming notification, so the other admins on the site have too. but i don’t want them to see that notification. (not talking about the stats page, but the actual notification). i removed those users from the site, and of course now they won’t be able to access the stats page, but i’m assuming that they will still see the notification even after i removed them, right?

Hi @leterel, anyone who has access to stats can also get a stats booming message.
When you remove them, they do not get access to stats anymore, so they won’t see a stats booming message.
However, they will still see notifications if someone replies to their post, as they are still allowed to comment on their own posts unless you otherwise block them. I believe they would still get new comment notifications, and the only way to disable them would be to disable comments.

so you mean that the notification disappears from the list of the user i’ve removed? i’ll explain:
1. “stats booming” notification gets sent to admins One and Two and now appears in both their notification lists
2. admin One removes admin Two from site
3. does admin Two still see the notification in the list, or does it get removed since this user can’t access the site anymore? -
to clarify point 3, i’m referring to the “stats booming” notification that was sent in point 1, not newer notifications.
to better phrase it: does admin Two still see the “stats booming” notification that was sent in point 1 (_before_ they were removed from the site), or does the notification get removed from their list since this user can’t access the site anymore?

So they already received the stats booming notification, but you want it to disappear from their notifications list now that you removed them?
I am not sure whether it would disappear or not. I am sure, though, that if they click the link it will not show them the stats anymore.
