Is there a free theme with a flash popup gallery?

  I’m looking at starting a new site and want to put up lots of photo galleries. Do any of the free wordpress themes have a flash pop up gallery? I want to have thumbnails and then a pop up which lets you browse to the next image.

  Any suggestions or is it a no go?

  There is nothing really that works here at wordpress.COM although there is a “thickbox” trick, but it requires that you have the social vibe widget in your sidebar (it has the “thickbox” stuff in it.

  Your best bet is to buy a domain name and self-host a wordpress blog on a third-party hosting site such as godaddy or bluehost, etc. http://wordpress.ORG/hosting/

  The nextgen gallery plugin has a lot of nice features, but it is in my experience it seems to always have issues of some sort, no matter how often they update it.
