Is there a general problem tonight with WordPress.com

Some people are having trouble commenting and much appears to be italics (main page and comments on some posts). People are asking. I’ve put up a technical difficulties post, but I am not technical. The administrator for the Isaac Brock Society site (http://isaacbrocksociety.com/ ) is away right now. Just wondering if the problem is specific to our site or some or all.
Thanks for your advice on this.

It seems there are two independent issues here.
First, could you send me a link to the posts or comments with italics? I’ll be glad to take a look.
As for the comments issue: We’ve recently updated our commenting system.
Now, if someone tries to comment with an email address that’s attached to a WordPress.com account, they’ll need to sign into WordPress.com before they can comment.
If commenters have forgotten their password they can request a reset:
http://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpasswordIf someone is trying to comment with an email that’s not attached to a WordPress.com account, there’s no need for them to sign up (unless you require them to do so, at Settings -> Discussion).
