Is there a glossary for the "feature filter" theme choices?

    Some of these are obvious what they mean but many of them are not –

    what’s blavatar, sticky post, microformats, buddypress, post-formats, featured-images, etc.? I can’t see anywhere that explains what these are to know if you would need or want them.

    I looked at the support glossary and can’t find anything – some of these terms are so generic that a search doesn’t really help.

    If there’s a link to a glossary that would be great & helpful to those of us who are clueless.
