There is a Facebook debugger, but is there one for Google+? I have the problem of ‘Publicise to Google+ doesn’t show featured image’

There actually is a debugger for Google+. You can see it here:

For your latest post, “You Make Me”, it looks like the image was shared alongside the post. Was that a Google+ post you had to make manually for the image to get shared?
If you’re having consistent trouble with the image being shared alongside the post, can you try setting a featured image for your posts as described here?
