Is there a host name for wordpress.com I can add as a CNAME
-
I’ve decided to open this as a separate topic to
https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/changing-nameserver-not-working?replies=1#post-643985since my hosting provider keeps asking for alternatives to the Nameserver mapping described in WordPress guide for domain mapping.
So is it possible to map a main domain by adding a CNAME record pointing to WordPress?
Thanks,

Have you read the information here?
http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/domain-management/#additional-information -
Yes, I have. i thought that was only relevant until AFTER the Nameserver change was effective.
I cannot seem to get the NS record change to make the mapping from lisemeijer.dk to lisemeijer.wordpress.com (as per the other support forum thread).
Thanks

CNAME is what is used here to map a subdomain such as blog.mysite.com or something similar. At wordpress.COM, to map a TLD (top level domain) such as mysite.com you have to point set the DNS to the wordpress.COM nameservers.
