Is there a list of maximum image sizes for various Themes?
-
Hello,
I’m creating a NEW photo blog and would love to find a list of maximum image sizes for the various themes without having to look up the stats for each theme individually. Does such a thing exist?
I hope so! If not could you please let me know which (free) themes allow the largest images.
Thank you.The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

There isn’t a current list these days. Panos’ (justpi) has a list here, but it hasn’t been updated for a long time and many of the themes listed there are now retired. Because you are a long-time user, you may see them available in your WordPress.com Appearance>Themes dashboard for use on your old blogs, but they won’t be available on a new one just set up.
So as far as which free themes have the largest content area, I’m afraid it’s hunt and peck, trial and error, but you could try any of the <a href=”http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/features/photography/?sort=free
“>themes tagged for Photography for starters, but I’m sure there are others that are suitable as well.FWIW-Any image uploaded on WordPress.com is reduced by 10% in resolution and when inserted at “full size,” will fill the theme’s content area. The Mosaic style Galleries will also fill the entire content area.
My 2¢/
IMHO-Any image over 1280 pixels wide is a waste of storage space.
