Is there a plan for SQRL Login on WordPress.com?
-
I noticed that the SQRL Login WP add-on documentation is available on WordPress.org
Are there plans to support SQRL Login on WordPress.com?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
Where exactly do you see this documentation? I don’t see any mention of it at https://wordpress.org/support/
There was an enhancement request to have it added to Core about 5 years ago, in https://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/28554, but as you can see there the Core team advised something like that should be implemented as a plugin instead, and that’s also the only results I’m able to find for SQRL on WordPress.org – plugins that add that functionality.
That type of plugin is used for user account logins on individual sites, and do not apply to WordPress.com at all. On WordPress.com you log into your WordPress.com username account, and once you’re logged into your WordPress.com account, you’re automatically logged into every site where your account is a contributor. So there is no need for a way to simplify logging into individual sites.
We already offer passwordless login via an email link for logging into your WordPress.com account, and we don’t have any plans at the moment to add SQRL logins as well.

@kokkieh – Since it seems to be my day for be playing Devil’s Advocate, would that new ORG plugin be one for the incompatible plugins list?
I’ll stop now, I promise. ;)
