Thanks for replying. I’m using a pc, no wifi and my browser is IE 9. I’ve checked everything, but the problem is still going on. No message error, just a glitch with the notifications icon, if I click on it to see my notifications, there’s only a wide empty window. When I refresh the page, the icon turns into orange once more but nothing appears.

Hello, wwwcine!
It appears you’ve had several new notifications in the last few days that are still unread. You can see them all here:
https://wordpress.com/notifications
I think what’s happening is that you’re being notified of these events, that’s making the button orange, but then Internet Explorer 9 is not correctly loading the notifications.
Would you please make a screenshot of what your notifications looks like when you click the orange button and nothing appears? After taking the screenshot, please upload the image to your media library so I can view it.
After that, could you try visiting WordPress.com in Firefox or Google Chrome to see if the notifications open for you then?
Thank you! :)

Thank you very much for the screenshot! That’s helpful. :)
Were you able to try another browser as well? Did the notifications work there?
In general, Internet Explorer 9 is probably going to have more difficulty loading a lot of things on WordPress.com, though we still try to keep all tools compatible with it. You may have a better experience if you can at least update to the most recent version of IE, which is 11:

I’ve got Vista and it’s not compatible with IE11. I don’t like the other browsers. I’ve never had a problem on WordPress in 4 years, except this icon. Now, I’ve got the link to my notifications, it’s easier for me. Thanks for helping me, Alex !

Okee doke, just wanted to check. :)
Thanks again for the screenshots, I’ll report this to our developers and see if we can get it cleared up. If I have news I’ll report back here!

Here is still the same old problem: notifications icon ON and the notifications panel opens but does not show any.
The Stuff is a Linux computer -Fedora 21- running Firefox 31.0.1, all the system up to date…
This incidence is a bit recurrent…I hope it can be solved soon.
Thank You.

Hello wwwcine and Gonzalo
Could you both take another screenshot of your empty notifications pane, but this time also open up your Javascript console? We have instructions on how to do that here:
Please take a screenshot of any errors shown ,then upload it to your blog’s media library so I can take a look.

Hi Alex,
here is the link…

At least, now the [orange warning light is off]

Hi again,
the first picture is incorrect, it doesn’t have the console…
sorry. (I was unable to delete the post…)-> The Definitive picture is this one:

Yay! Glad it got sorted out.
Your second screenshot has the console, but the notifications pane does not appear to be open — to check for any errors you’ll need to have the console open, then open the notifications window.

Hi, Alex… again:
You are right: something happened with the screenshot…
I think that, now, is all correct…
Blank notifications window open + JS Console…https://gonzalosangil.wordpress.com/wp-admin/upload.php?item=6194
let’s see what can be done.
Thank You.
