is there a special trick to putting the quantcast code in my blog's footer?
-
i can’t seem to get the quantcast code to appear in a footer WTHOUT it actually appearing on the page. This is what Quantcast tells me:
The code is appearing on your site because it is placed within the widget. Please place within the footer. For most implementations you can find this in the common files are usually in the ‘Themes’ folder and are labeled something like ‘footer.php’, ‘index.php’ and so forth.
However, i can’t seem to put the code in the footer without putting it inside of a widget.
Can you please help?Thanks!
Rita

Hi Rita, that code won’t work on your site. For security reasons, we do not allow embedding JavaScript. For more information about this, see here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/code/#javascript
It looks like you are looking for a way to monitor your site stats, have you checked https://wordpress.com/#!/my-stats/ and http://en.support.wordpress.com/stats/ ?

Thanks Jenia. That would explain why i couldn’t figure it out. i am looking for a third party to verify my visits. i already have statcounter. Can you suggest another one that is well known and works on wordpress without javascript?

Hi Rita, I don’t have a specific recommendation for a third-party service. You might want to search our community forums to see what other users have used and ask for tips.
