Is There A Theme That Can Get Me A Jumpstart To This Site…

  I’m designing a site to showcase our comics for our indie group. We have WordPress installed and I need a layout/theme to get me a headstart in a certain direction.

  We want something inspired by the “metro” design with big pictures and great animation. Sites like these:

  We already have pretty much all the assets. We have the top part of the Xbox site down with a widget and all our banners. It’s below that that we need. We want to change it up to first showcase our comics, then our news, then our other divisions. This is where the DC inspiration comes in because they have the ” Get To Know” slider, and we have all assets for that too including our images and a wiki set up to link everything.

  Right now we are using the “Klean” theme, but it’s really cluttered and not appealing at all. My favorite theme we used was “SKT Corp,” but it felt like a lot of presentation, something more suited for the book subpages instead?

  Basically I just need a theme that gets the idea down, then I can tweak the CSS or whatever to re-organize it and get it to function as we need it. The theme needs to pretty much “sell” our books and tell people about our books, and not so much be blog style.

  The Klean theme is available for WordPress.org websites, but not for WordPress.com websites.

  I would suggest going to the WordPress.org Theme Directory and then click the Feature Filter button and see if you can filter things and narrow them down.
