Is there a theme that supports searching the media library?

    I am building a visual catalogue and I would like users to be able to search the image titles and descriptions so that they can filter the images in the catalogue in different ways from the primary method of categorisation that I’ve used. You can do this in the dashboard, so I wondered if there were any themes that supported a media library search.

    None on WordPress.com as far as I know. But the regular search box should be fine provided that the post is titled the same as the title of the image, which is also in the description, etc.

    Thanks raincoaster. I tried separate posts for each image at first, but the gallery function has been designed to link to image attachment pages. It is a quite efficient workflow putting the descriptions in the attachment pages and it makes it very easy for users to browse the catalogue and link to more information. All it needs is a media library search widget and I would have all I need to manage my image collection. In the meantime, I’ve just figured out how to use [gallery include=""] to create an index page, so I’ll do that instead.
