Is there a theme with no visible title?
-
I’m using WordPress.com and do not have the CSS upgrade. My problem is something that I’m sure must be quite common: I have the blog’s title and tagline integrated into a header I want to use, and so I want to remove or hide the default title and tagline text without deleting them (so they will still show up in search engines etc.)
I know this can be done with CSS, but I’m not willing to pay the subscription fee for what is about 10 characters of code. Obviously, being on WordPress.com means I can’t edit the php either. I’ve tried adding a text widget to create a rectangle to cover the title, but this is quite problematic as the rectangle moves depending on whether you are logged into WordPress when you visit the blog or not (logging in adds the bar at the top, which nudges the rectangle down). I’ve spent more time than I wanted to scouring the web and forums, and the only thing left I can think of is that someone must have created a theme where the title section is hidden by default. Surely?
Anybody know of a good one? Preferably with a fairly neutral colour scheme.
Thanks for your help,
Toby -
Hi!
There is quite a few themes that allow hiding of the Title and tag line… you can test drive the themes via this link → http://theme.wordpress.com/ -
Neo-sapien doesn’t display the title at all, but it’s not “neutral”.

Thanks for the help. I’ve found a couple which look similar to what I had in mind.
Cheers!
