Is there a way I can pay to upgrade someone else's account as a gift to them?

  Hello. I have a family member who is documenting his wife’s cancer battle using a WordPress blog. I would like to help them out by anonymously paying to upgrade their plan so the ads do not detract from the message of the blog. Is there a way I can do that?

  Hi there,

  There is no way to gift an upgrade at this time.

  If you have a WordPress.com username account, they can add you as an admin to their site and you can purchase the upgrade. Then you can post in this thread, asking that we transfer the upgrade to their account. Once that is done they can remove you as a user on their site again.
