Is there a way that I can give back urls I no longer want?
-
I have a few wordpress.com URLs that I thought I was going to build, but have since changed my situation. Is there a way I can “give back” these URLs so that someone else can use them down the road? (I don’t know of any specific individuals to transfer them to outright.) I don’t want to delete them and eliminate someone else from using them…. Help?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

There is not a way to put them back into the general “pool” of available urls, but you could put a post on the front page of each one you don’t need saying “This URL is free to a good home” (or something like that) and ask people who want it to ether leave a comment, or contact you through a contact form on the site. Once you find someone who wants it, you can transfer it to them following this process:
Let me know if you have any questions about that!

Thank you for the quick response Liz; I appreciate it!
Is there any place on these forums where a “website available”/”website wanted” exchange board might be found? If not, could one be created? Seems like this could fill a need…?

There is nothing like that now, but there is an “ideas” section of the forum. If you post the thought there staff will review it.
Here’s a direct link to that forum. Just scroll to the bottom to submit your post: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/ideas
