Is there a way to actually speak to someone in support about a FREE wordpress.com account? Or are they only interested in PAID wordpress.com accounts????
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
If you have a WordPress.com free plan, here is only where you can get support. Please kindly create a new thread if you have some problems. I recommend you to refer to the following support page to know how to get support on WordPress.com.
https://en.support.wordpress.com/help-support-options/
Thanks :)

Thank you for your reference. It’s obvious that I have struck a chord with you. I can “kindly create a new thread” but please note that after several attempts for an answer to my question without answers does create irritation. However, since you are the first person to give me a link to look at I do thank you.

@cnrobinson7782 regarding your question yesterday that unfortunately failed to get a response. I had to look up what ‘Plagiarism Checker By SST’ was. It is a plugin of some kind and extra plugins are designed for self-hosted sites using the WordPress.org software and can only be added to a WordPress.com site if you upgrade to the Business plan. https://wordpress.com/pricing/

Dear themagicrobot:
I know this…my question now is WHY? Why is it that wordpress.com holders are not able to enjoy some of the benefits of wordpress.org holders? It’s ridiculous.
-
Ours is not to reason why. Ours is but to…….”
Alfred Lord Tennyson 1854It’s all about security as all WordPress.com free/Personal/Premium sites are together on this same platform. Bad code could infect others. People paying the extra for the Business plan are probably on different servers.
“WordPress.com
Focus on your beautiful content, and let us handle the rest.“

May I address this “why” question please?
It’s not ridiculous at all.
Read first https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ as themagicrobot recommended. Then read https://en.support.wordpress.com/ftp-access/ and https://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/
Every wordpress.ORG site is a stand alone software install so if you install a dodgy plugin and your site goes down no other sites are impacted.
WordPress.COM sites share a common architecture as this is a multi-user platform and there is no FTP access for security and stability reasons. Know that if all of us could install any plugins we wanted to then a single dodgy plugin could bring down more than one site.

@timethief. Oh no. My bad. So it isn’t just a plugin. It’s also a browser add-on?? I only saw https://wordpress.org/plugins/plagiarism-checker-by-sst/ How will WordPress.com survive for the next two weeks without you?

I also see that you approved a spam comment from indiangirlporn https://cnrobinson7782blog.wordpress.com/2016/02/11/morning-habit/comment-page-1/#comment-12 that you will want to unapprove and mark as spam.
