Is there a way to add a read more link on a page?
-
Hi there,
I’m having issues adding a “read more” option to a page. I’ve read that it works for posts, but not pages.
Is there a plugin I could use? I am currently the webmaster of a site, and their home page is getting polluted by excessively long posts.
Any help would be great. I’d like to add a “read more” option so people can read more of a certain topic instead of seeing the flood of text on the home page.
Thanks in advance for any help. A plugin would be great to add if it’s possible.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I’m not seeing any evidence of that on http://trurochowfamily.wordpress.com/.
Are you referring a different site? If so, what is the URL for that site?

The site you are asking about does not seem to be hosted on WordPress.COM so you need to make friends over at WordPress.ORG the keepers of the software you are using.
This site is for support of sites hosted on WordPress.COM. You should address your questions to WordPress.ORG the keepers of the software you are using: http://wordpress.org/support/
The forum at WordPress.ORG is not connected to WordPress.COM so you will need to open an account at .ORG if you do not already have one. You may use the same email at WordPress.ORG as you do at WordPress.COM.

Auxclass is exactly correct. WordPress.com support staff cannot help with self-hosted WordPress.org sites because we have no access to your servers or files.
Your best bet is the forums and support documents here:
