Is there a way to add categories to a menu and keep it in the same hierarchy ?

I have about 150 total categories in total and the hierarchy is very complex. For example I have about 8 top level categories, then a lot of sub categories on each one, and further subcategories on the subcategories, etc. I want this all added to the main WordPress menu. However when I go to add them all, the hierarchy totally doesn’t transfer over, and all of the categories show at the same level. It’s going to be very hard and tedious for me to reorganize this, especially cause a lot of the subcategories have the same names, and I’m not sure which parent they belong to.

Is there any plug in or method or coding where I can add all the categories to a menu and it remains in the same exact hierarchy?

If you’re on WordPress.com, no plugin can be installed here, so that option is out.

If you’re using self-hosted WordPress.org, this plugin can help: http://wordpress.org/plugins/enhanced-menu-editor/ (note that if you do use WordPress.org, this is the wrong forum to ask around :) Try http://wordpress.org/support/ next time)

(After looking at it again, I’m no longer sure whether that plugin can help, sorry)

I’m using numbers before the name of each category to keep the order, so I can arrange them as I wish. Just tricking the system because I didn’t find how to do it neither…
