Is there a way to block addresses

    Hi, I am getting spammed with inappropriate material and would like to be able to block the address. It is not coming in from a wordpress client. I am sick of these sicko’s trying to advertise teen inappropriate videos etc please help to ban this sort of behaviour.

    The site linked to your username is not a wordpress.COM blog, so we can’t help you with that. If you are talking about a blog hosted here at wordpress.COM, please provide us with a link to that blog starting with http:// .

    I have the same question: how can I delete as spam all incoming messages from a particular source, like 123.45.678.910?

    I don’t even want to see them as spam, I would like for Akismet to intercept and delete them.

    Yes, but do no be over-confident as trolls can and will simply get another IP address. Therefore setting the Discussion to full moderation of all comments is the best means of backing up when you do the following:

    Dashboard > Discussion > scroll down to Comment Blacklist

    Comment Blacklist
    When a comment contains any of these words in its content, name, URL, e-mail, or IP, it will be marked as spam. One word or IP per line. It will match inside words, so “press” will match “WordPress”.

    Enter the data and then scroll down to click “Save Changes”.

    This is not possible. Comments from the IP you enter into the Comment Blacklist will be in the spam filter and that’s the best you can do.
