Is there a way to change how much of my post appears on the website?

Hey, just created my account and set up my website today. I had one question, I just made a new post and I wanted to know if I could somehow control how much text appears on my main page. Is there a way to have it be only like the first paragraph and a picture and then have a link at the bottom to another page with the full story? Thanks, I really appreciate any help.
