Is there a way to change the footer of a site

  I don’t mind the link to wordpress on the footer of my site, but is it possible to swith the wording “blog at” sot “site at” or something like that

  That really is the problem. Most of the footers (if not all) of them from the themes are ‘hardcoded’ into the theme itself and you cannot change the wording. If you don’t have a blog here at wordpress.com and hosted elsewhere, you can edit the template itself, but all blogs hosted here don’t have that option available. Sorry!
