Is there a way to clone my blog and test locally?

    I want to test a sharing plugin in a sandbox or local environment so I don’t mess up the company blog. Is there a way to clone my blog and test locally?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    You are welcome to download WordPress from WordPress.org and install it locally, and then do an export of your WordPress.com site and import it into your local installation. Keep in mind that we have some features on WordPress.com that you will not be able to fully utilize on a local installation.

    What might work better is for you to create a private test blog on WordPress.com under the same account or a personal account, do an export of the company site and import it into your test blog.

    I noticed that you mentioned a plugin, and you should note that we do not allow users to install plugins on WordPress.com. If you need sharing functionality, we offer that through the Sharing tab under Settings in the Dashboard.
