Is there a way to contact WordPress for support?

  I am not getting an answer to what I asked from the forum – possible no one knows – and wanted to ask WordPress. Anyone know how to get through to them or is the forum where the buck stops?

  There is, but they say it’s for emergencies only. Naturally, their definition might not be yours.

  but to answer your question, just go to Tools->Export and export your contents from the one blog and on the new one tools->Import and problem solved, set the old one to Private.
