is there a way to delete parent categories?

  Hi,

  I tried searching from past forums thread but can’t find an answer.

  Is there any ways to delete items in parent categories?

  I can delete sub categories items but not parent categories items.

  Posts > Categories: you can delete any category except the default (the one with no tick-box). If that’s the one you want to delete, first go to Settings > Writing and set another category as your default one.
