Is there a way to find examples of blogs using a specific theme?
-
It seems WordPress has a new theme explorer. The old version had a nice feature that allowed you to find examples of blogs using a particular theme. This was useful to get an better idea of how themes could be customised beyond what is available on the theme demo pages.
With the new theme explorer, this feature no longer seems to be present.
Moreover, several people have asked this question on the forum here and their threads have been closed “due to new replies” although there was never any reply to their question!
Can anyone help me find out if there is or is not an easy way to find blogs using a particular theme?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello Ergmachine,
The approach that I usually use is to go directly to the page for each theme and usually at the bottom of the page one or more blogs using that theme is shown, for example scroll down to the bottom of the page for the Twenty Fourteen theme:
http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/twentyfourteen/
You can find the page for each theme below and just click the name of the theme that you are interested in to be taken to the page for that theme, and then scroll down to the bottom of the page to see one or more blogs using that theme (some themes may/might not have this yet):

@Timethief
I had remembered somewhere in the past where you had mentioned searching with a search engine for blogs/websites using a certain theme, but I could not remember your exact words/steps; but I had a feeling that you would see this Topic and that you would comment Timethief, and I was correct/right. :DI will now remember those steps for future reference(s), thank you Timethief. :)

Actually I do not do Tag searches before answering questions or at all really. :DI usually just look for questions that I think that I can answer or help with, but before making my own Topics I usually do a normal Search before creating a Topic to avoid making a Topic that is already made/answered.

You search Tags that are relevant to whatever issue is being presented so your can provide timely and relevant responses.
Why to use Tag search first search is because those of us Volunteers who have been here for years longer than Staff have been on Staff are aware of what the correct answers are.
We are also aware that reading the threads under the Modlook tags and in the Staff Answers support forum before answering threads provides useful information on known issues that arise.
Why to search first is because the support docs do not reflect known issues. Unless you Tag search you will not be aware of them. Therefore you will not be able to direct bloggers with the same issues, who keep creating new threads to post into the same single thread tagged for Staff attention so none fall through the cracks.

I see, thank you for answering that Timethief, and my second question is how/where to do a Tag Search exactly?

Replace keyword in the URL with the relevant keyword or keyword phrase and if it’s a phrase then use a dash – between letters like this
