Is there a way to give certain followers access to password protected posts?

  I was wondering if anyone knows the best way to create a semi-private blog.

  What I’d like to do is have a public blog where some of the posts are password protected, but somehow have a “whitelist” of authorized followers who can get access without entering a password. Is this possible?

  Unfortunately there is no way to create a semi-private blog on WordPress.com. You can make few posts password protected but you will need to figure out a way to distribute the password to only the users you want to read private posts.

  May be you can create a mailing list with a subset of your followers and email them the password.
