Is there a way to group posts in the same category onto one page and have them a

I’m trying to put individual posts onto a page in my blog and have them appear on my home page too. For example I have a snaps of the week page but the posts on that page don’t appear on my home page. I guess the question I’m asking is, is there a way to group posts in the same category onto one page and have them appear on the home page too? I’m using the “untitled theme”, do I need to use a different theme to do this? I know this question may sound a little confusing but it’s hard to explain through text. Thanks in advance for your help.

  • Howdy,

    Sure thing.

For the home page, publish your posts as usual.

To have them on a “category page”, make sure you have assigned your posts to a category (instructions).

There will automatically be a page created for that category (e.g. http://idontunderstand.co/category/siks/ ).

You can add this to the menu on your site via Appearance->Menus on your site’s dashboard (direct link: https://idonotunderstandblog.wordpress.com/wp-admin/nav-menus.php ).

We have a cool screencast of how the custom menus work at Custom Menus. You can add other pages, category pages, or any other link to your menu from there.

If you have any other questions or need anything else, please let me know. Cheers!
