Is there a way to include custom HTML into a wordpress.com hosted blog?

I want to authenticate my wordpress.com hosted blog to XING.com, which requires a <meta> tag in the HTML <head> to proove I am really that XING.com user. Is there a way to include custom HTML into a wordpress.com hosted blog?

No it’s not possible to edit metadata on free hosted wordpress.com blogs and add any link into the header. Here all blogs wearing the same theme are using the same template as this is a multiuser blogging platform.

Thank you very much for the quick reply! Can you please tell me if there is an option for custom HTML in a paid wordpress.com hosted blog? Or do I need a self hosted blog for this? I can only find options for custom CSS, which is not what I need. Thanks!
