Is there a way to insert gifs?

I wanted to iframe in a gif onto my blog. Is this possible? If so, can you let me know how to do it?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Yes .gif is an accepted file type. In order for an animated gif to play, it must be full size when you upload it. if you crop after uploading it will not work./ Make sure the gif is no larger than the maximum width for your theme’s post area or exactly where you want to place it. If it is, then resize it on your computer before uploading it.

Thanks but I’m trying to iframe in a gif from giphy.
I added the iframe embed code but it only displays a link. See post-

Is there a way to show the gif in the post?

There are code restrictions on WordPress.COM blogs and we cannot post iframe codes on WordPress.COM blogs for security reasons. Sorry but that code is a no go here. The software will strip it out.
