Is there a way to invite non-wordpress users to a private site?

  Hi! I’m making a website with info about my wedding, and I’d like to have it private so that only those I choose can see it. I already changed the privacy settings, but I have the impression that when you invite users to view the site, that they MUST have a wordpress account to be able to see it.
  I don’t think any of my relatives and friends already have a wordpress account, and I don’t want to bother them to make one. Is there a way to just let people see the site using their email or something like that?

  Nope. How would WP.com be able to tell they were authorized to see the posts, if they didn’t have to log in.

  You could just create a newsletter and copy and paste your posts if it comes to that.

  Of course they would have to log in. I was wondering it it would be possible to log in with just an email address without having to creat a WP account.
