Is there a way to remove the categorization feature?
-
I have no need for categories and I was wondering if I could just remove them from being seen on my blog, since the only one I have is “Uncategorized”.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

For posts it cannot be removed. Pages don’t have categories. If all you want to have on your front page is that message that you have then you should use a static front page (not a post) and hide the page tab:

/nod to Husdal,
And posts have to have at least one category assigned to them. That is the way the system is designed.

If you want them to be hidden from view then the iNove theme allows you to hide the tags and category links under the posts. It is the only theme that allows that directly.
For all other themes, it would take CSS editing experience and the paid CSS upgrade to hide the categories. Note though that in a good number of themes, the CSS controlling the tags/categories in the post area also controls other things, so in many cases you might lose other things such as author, date, comments link, etc.

Is it possible to switch mine? i.e the fonts on my tags are too big and strategically located at the top of my post headings whereas the categories are below. Is it possible to swap their positions? so that tags are underneath the post headers in a much smaller font and categories could be at the top of my post headings. Hope this makes sense? thanks in advance
